Facebook Deconstruction: Fave Quotes

January 21, 2011
I log-in to unlike all pages. When I really come back to Facebook, I want it to be like tabula rasa. Anyway, in this short post, I'll paste the quotes I put there as my favorite.

"It then dawned on me that all real improvements in the conditions of the working classes were the result of capitalism; and that social laws frequently brought about the very opposite of what the legislation was intended to achieve." — Ludwig von Mises

"Socialism cannot be realized because it is beyond human power to establish it as a social system. The choice is between capitalism and chaos. A man who chooses between drinking a glass of milk and a glass of potassium cyanide does not choose between two beverages; he chooses between life and death. A society that chooses between capitalism and socialism does not choose between two social systems; it chooses between social cooperation and disintegration of society." Ludwig von Mises in Human Action

“Everyone carries a part of society on his shoulders, no one is relieved of his share of responsibility by others. And no one can find a safe way for himself if society is sweeping towards destruction. Therefore everyone, in his own interest, must thrust himself vigorously into the intellectual battle.” Ludwig von Mises in Socialism
